THE SYSTEM OF SUPPORT FOR SPECIAL
     STUDENTS AT RIGA PARDAUGAVA
         SCHOOL GENERAL ASPECTS

  Our school teachers went through in-service training on
   special education

  To support students, starting from grade 1, we have a special
   teacher and two speech therapists, several medical and
   physical therapists and a psychologist at school.

  The teachers develop individual plans and special syllabus for
   work with children with special needs and learning problems.

  The staff has big experience of bilingual education for
   minority students as an example of successful integration into
   society and culture of the country

  Our teachers participate in several state projects (APP and
   “Pumpurs”) which help to give individual support to all
   children

  We regularly share our teaching experience with other
   colleagues. Our school often holds seminars and international
   conferences for professionals and public.
