You can turn any stone that you find on the banks of a river or lake into a painting.
Of course, it is desirable that its surface be as even as possible, otherwise the
drawing will be difficult to apply, and the image, due to the unevenness of the
"canvas", will be albeit slightly deformed.
But all novice "stone artists" use what is at hand. Then, when the creation of stone
decorations for the garden is fascinating, you can purchase decorative stones in
hardware stores: you can buy very inexpensively a stone of the right size, shape,
breed, etc.
HOW TO PAINT A STONE: MASTER-CLASS STEP BY STEP:
1. We wash well - we clean the stone using a brush and a solution with detergent.
2. Thoroughly rinse, dry in the sun.
3. Apply a stone primer to the surface. Sometimes the packaging may additionally
indicate under what paint such a primer is used. If not specified, it means that the
tool is universal.
4. It is better to use acrylic paints - they are bright, durable and fit well literally on
any surface.
5. We paint the stone with a background layer (base) so that a picture can be
applied to it. Sometimes there is no need for a base layer (if the texture of the stone
is beautiful) - then the drawing is applied immediately after priming.
